Natasha Nair is a documentary filmmaker and colourist based in Vancouver, Canada. Following her MFA in Documentary Media from Northwestern University, she worked as a colour assist at Company 3, New York, and Elemental Post, Vancouver. She has collaborated with brands like Arcteryx, Fendi, Elle India and for filmmakers whose work has screened internationally at Sundance, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival and TribecaX, and streaming on Amazon Prime and CBC. Her short documentary, In the Wake, premiered at the 2019 Camden International Film Festival and was nominated for the IDA David L. Wolper Student Documentary Award. She is currently a member of the Vancouver International Film Festival’s Institute of Moving Image Documentary Cohort.
She continues to explore the meaning of culture, its preservation and displacement, by creating a sensorial experience. She is currently in the development stage of her first feature documentary, Ears to the Ground.
